England's Steph Houghton ready to make history against Germany

Steph Houghton feels privileged. On Sunday the England captain will do what many of her predecessors could only dream of, lead her side out for an international match at Wembley. It has been a long time coming and, for all those involved, the significance of the historic occasion is certainly not lost.

"This is preparation for the World Cup next year but ultimately it shows how far the women's game has come," says Houghton before a seminal fixture against Germany, the first England women's game at the new Wembley. "It means everything, the whole occasion. It's going to be emotional and I can't wait to be a part of it."
