LAquila earthquake scientists win appeal Nov 10th 2014, 18:23, by John Hooper in Rome Six seismologists and official had been convicted over reassurance issued to residents before fatal quake in 2009 A court has upheld the appeals of six scientists and an official against their convictions for having given criminally negligent reassurances to the population of the city of LAquila before it was devastated by an earthquake five years ago.
