Secretary of state John Kerry expresses some reservations over nuclear talks in Vienna while German foreign minister says deal has 'never been closer'
US secretary of state John Kerry has warned of "serious gaps" in talks about a nuclear deal with Iran, but as Monday's deadline approached his German counterpart said Tehran and six world powers had "never been closer" to agreement since they started negotiating more than six years ago.
A European source said the likelihood of a final comprehensive agreement being reached by Monday was "very small".
