The Street View team has co-operated with the Rhaetian Railway and compiled images from the Albula-Bernina line in Switzerland which is one of the world’s most scenic railway routes through wild hills scenery from Thusis, going through the resort town of St. Moritz up to its terminus over the Italian border in Tirano.
The railway line passes through a complex system of tunnels through the narrow valleys with a climb up to six thousand feet. The route is a good tourist destination with great clicking opportunities. It is a superb idea to see a collaboration of architecture and technology like this is in a natural landscape setting.
The snaps of the surrounding areas will be patched in 360 degrees panoramic view and they will be published on Google Maps for people to experience. The people who are familiar with these routes can still see them with new perspectives.
