Few want more war in Afghanistan Feb 25th 2012, 22:35 Ronald E. Neumann's Feb. 20 op-ed, "A continued U.S. deployment in Afghanistan," missed at least one point when he said that U.S. troops will be fighting on the ground after 2014: the absolute lack of public support for such a continuation of the war. The American people have checked out of the war while Americans continue to fight and die and be maimed at staggering personal and public costs. Large majorities of Americans want to end this mission.
