Nokia has introduced four Asha S40 Series phones. They are Series 200,201,300 and 303. Nokia has decided to start the Nokia World Event with the Asha S Series announcements while people were expecting them to announce the first Windows smartphone. These Asha phones are aimed at markets such as Africa and India. These series phones come in different sizes and forms to meet the demands of all users.
Asha 200 was the first handset presented at the Nokia World Event. It features a standard candy bar form factor and comes with a full portrait QWERTY keyboard that will allow users to type accurately and faster.

There is a big D-pad between the screen and the keyboard, allowing for one handed handling. There are two contextual buttons as well and four touch sensitive shortcut keys. Asha 200 also offers multi SIM support and multi swap that will allow users to switch between their SIMs without the need of rebooting their handsets. A micro SD card slot is there for memory expansion up to 32 GB.

Asha 201 features the same hardware configuration as the Asha 200 but is without the dual SIM function. Asha 300 is a phone that comes with a touch screen display but does not have the QWERTY keyboard. The phone features a bar form factor and incorporates the standard numeric keyboard.

Asha 303 comes with a QWERTY keyboard and is aimed at users who would like to stay in touch with their friends and families through the social networking services.
